Eat. Move. Talk!

HealthMPowers is a partner with the Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) to deliver the Eat. Move.Talk! toolkit, which aims to improve the health outcomes for children birth to five years of age in three target communities in Georgia – Clarkston, Dalton, and Valdosta – through promoting evidence-based messages on healthy eating and physical activity in combination with language nutrition. It is the practice of exposing children, from birth, to words that support brain development. The amount and the type of words, like healthy food, is critical to developing babies’ brains.

HealthMPowers is training early childhood educators as coaches, who will model healthy eating, physical activity, and language nutrition practices, and teach families to adopt these healthy behaviors at home.
