Personalized Fitness Portfolio Available for Middle and High School Students

Requested by educators, new resource aligns with national physical education standards

(NORCROSS, GA)— HealthMPowers today released a new, self-guided Fitness Portfolio designed to empower youth to take control of their health by creating a personalized fitness plan.

Students can access the portfolio by visiting HealthMPowers.org/fitnessportfolio to jumpstart a health journey that will allow them to see evidence of both the physical and mental benefits of consistent participation in a physical fitness program.

“The Fitness Portfolio provides evidence of growth and improvement to students, parents and teachers as participants begin their fitness journey,” said Dr. Dana Griffith, Secondary Sector Director, HealthMPowers. “We are promoting a six-week challenge in our schools from now until the end of the ‘school year’ (end of May) in hopes that youth, as well as adults around Georgia, will use this opportunity to improve their health and well-being.”

The Fitness Portfolio gives participants the knowledge and skills necessary to evaluate current fitness levels, set goals, create plans for improvement based on individual needs and measure progress along the way.

To access and download the portfolio, visit HealthMPowers.org/fitnessportfolio and use the hashtag #HealthMPowersFitFolio on Instagram to show your progress.

Requested by educators, the Fitness Portfolio aligns with Physical Education National Standard 3: “The physically literate individual demonstrates the knowledge and skills to achieve and maintain a health-enhancing level of physical activity and fitness.”
