Integrating physical activity and nutrition into everyday life and learning

HealthMPowers brings multi-year, evidence-based programs to schools, childcare centers and afterschool programs in communities across Georgia.

Program model

The HealthMPowers program model includes trainings, direct services and resource materials that are presented in a memorable and interactive format to promote healthy behaviors and environments. The innovative program model improves fitness and health knowledge and behaviors in children, while providing teachers and staff with the training and resources necessary to create healthy schools and communities.

Easy to integrate

HealthMPowers resources correlate to Core Curriculum Georgia Performance Standards and Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards making it easy to integrate additional health education and physical activity in the classroom or program. As a statewide training partner for the Georgia Department of Education, DECAL, Georgia Department of Public Health, Georgia SHAPE, and the Power Up for 30 program, HealthMPowers also provides a variety of trainings and webinars for classroom teachers, PE teachers, staff and administrators.

Community approach

Family and community educators bring healthy messages to families, bridging our work in school settings, working with retailers to increase access to fruits and vegetables, and sharing healthy messages throughout our communities through multi-channel social marketing.
