Power Up for 30
Classroom Teacher and Staff
Power Up for 30 is a statewide initiative geared towards integrating at least 30 minutes of physical activity, outside of Physical Education, throughout the school day for every student, every day. Research shows that physical activity positively influences brain function – and can translate into improved academic achievement, better classroom behavior, and reduce the risk of depression and anxiety.
Throughout the Power Up for 30 videos, teachers, administrators and school staff experience relevant strategies for increasing student physical activity in a variety of ways. Because each video includes discussion and planning time, it is recommended that these videos are viewed in chronological order with school staff or teams within the staff.
Schools will receive resources and incentives upon completion of the videos on a first come, first served basis while supplies last.
We are elated that your school has joined the movement to POWER UP FOR 30!
